The story behind my art…
Working from my cosy home studio in rural Lancashire, I create uplifting, imaginative pieces inspired by the coast, countryside and the small joys around me. Growing up in North Wales, I was fortunate to be surrounded by beautiful landscapes, and that connection to nature continues to influence my work today. Whether it’s a walk along the coast, changing seasons in the countryside or a moment that simply makes me smile, inspiration often comes from the everyday things that bring a sense of happiness and wonder.
Creativity has always been part of my life. Childhood afternoons spent drawing at my Nana’s kitchen table, along with evenings watching my dad design wallpaper, shaped my lifelong love of art and encouraged me to see creativity as something to be celebrated. From an early age, I was always making, drawing and finding new ways to express myself.
After a chapter creating personalised cakes, where I was able to channel my creativity in a different way, I returned to my original love: painting. I create joyful, imaginative pieces inspired by the things that make me happiest. Acrylic, gouache and pen are my favourite tools, allowing me to layer colour, texture and light with a gentle sense of playfulness. My work is driven by warmth, curiosity and the simple things that make me smile, and I hope each piece brings a little of that joy into the homes of others.
